As I approach my 46th (yikes!) birthday this coming weekend, I have had lots on my mind. That is typically a bad thing for me. However, I don’t feel super bad today. I am for sure in a weird phase of my life — a working phase, I would call it: working on my self and busy with actual “work” work, too. And, there is not a lot (really, there is not any at all) excitement in my life right now: no new romance, or summer fling in the horizon, no fun trips planned until the Fall, no new ventures to tackle, and I am good with that.
In fact, I have to pat myself on the back for that, because I typically am an “excitement junkie.” And typically not in a good way — my past M.O. is to have lots of drama swirling around me at all times. Truthfully, for the past month, I have had ZERO drama in my life. That is amazing. And, what is even more amazing, is that I feel GOOD about that. It feels good to not have drama and crisis. It feels good to just take care of things — at work and with myself and at home.
I’m not sure why I am so fortunate to be in this drama free zone. I’d like to believe it is because I’ve made some drastic changes in my life and my behavior, and, now I am being rewarded by not feeling DRAMA fueled. I have actually been doing a LOT of self-reflection and journalling, and, for the most part, it feels pretty good. However, after seeing a bunch of articles pop up all over the Internets about Mercury Retrograde, I am starting to wonder if maybe that’s why I am in this self-reflection / “work mode.”
From Gala Darling:
Mercury retrograde wants us to move back spiritually. It is providing us with a chance to re-examine various areas of our life which may need a little more work, so that we can move forward to a bright new dawn. Now, more than ever, the time is right to look at things with clear eyes. Delicious, fresh perspectives are revealed. We often have major breakthroughs — intellectual, emotional or spiritual — during this time.
Huh. That sounds like what is happening with me these days. Spot on, actually.
The article also states that for us Gemini’s, Mercury Retrograde is especially difficult as both Gemini’s and Virgo’s are ruled by Mercury. Although I am NOT going to change my plans based on a celestial reassignment, it is kinda interesting to pay attention to these celestial changes, I think.
What do you think about Mercury Retrograde?
